S.T.R.E.A.M.
St. Brendan Elementary School’s STREAM Program embraces a contextual curriculum where all subjects are coordinated to support each other under a formal educational structure. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and the broad spectrum of the arts along with the religion foundation are used as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, creativity and critical thinking. Students take thoughtful risks, engage in experimental learning, persist in problem solving, embrace collaboration and work through the creative process to build, innovate and discover new ideas. Our school incorporates STREAM in lesson planning, fairs, and school wide monthly STREAM days where students and teachers collaborate to solve challenges presented according to their grade levels.
